TREASURER’S REPORT

[Information on club's account balance restricted to members only]

The agility trial report was corrected by adding the $1000 AKC filing fee.
The February match netted $410. The Rent-A-Ring netted $170.

RIBBONS FOR OBEDIENCE TRIAL
At present our ribbons have the show date on printed on them for regular classes but not for non-regular.  It was decided that in the future we look at putting a sticker on back, similar to what is one in the agility trials.  The sticker can be more generic than agility.  Amy will make a note in the trial notebook for this to be an item for next year’s show.

LOGO
We reviewed the suggested new logo from Bob Miller.  Terri will pass on to Bob that we want a more generic dog, a bar jump instead of high jump.  It was suggested that a Labrador is a very generic dog.  It was suggested to draw the logo in a two-color pattern.

INVESTMENT REPORT
Peg Chittick - Cash investing – extra – Limits – Only limit unrelated business income – club could be taxed on that.

Amy volunteered to talk to Geoffry Goudy on the taxe issue investments, 10,000

TRAILER REPORT
The cost of a new trailer is about $5200 plus additional modifications cost.   Barb Arkin and Amy Galperin took our trailer to Jim’s trailer service.  He made minor changes inside the trailer and did all the necessary work to update the trailer and make sure it is safe.

OBEDIENCE TRIAL
Silent auction; please bring things in good condition.  There will be no food at the trial.  Long discussion on whether we should serve volunteers or just give them vouchers.  There will be food needed for the judges.  We discussed cost per person and agreed $6/person, same as voucher should be our goal.

HOSPITALITY – People working on hospitality should check our paper goods supply.

WATER BOTTLE GIFTS FOR JUDGES.  Amy moved and Barb Arkin seconded, that we should buy water bottles for the judges.  Motion passed. Amy will pick up water bottles.

NOVICE A WELCOME BAG – little toy and little letter and rule book.  Welcome to obedience as they left the ring since this is not in the premium list.  After they walk the ring, the gift bag will be given outside of the ring.  Ann moved and Barb Arkin seconded that we use the money from the “Rent a Ring” profits to buy gifts and prepare a welcome letter for the Novice A people in both obedience and Rally.  Motion passed.  Ann Carlson will prepare letter, Terri Desnica will order toys and other gift items.

VOUCHERS  TO CLUB MEMBERS THAT DO MAJOR POSITIONS.  There was a discussion about giving vouchers to club member who have major position.  People discussed what positions to include.  After discussion it was decided to table it until next meeting.

SEMINAR
35 people as signed up.  The club will lose money on the seminar, which we agreed to before.  Patty  Pigeon will do lunches.  Helen will organize a  building mat taping.

CHARITY DONATIONS.  We should choose a charity to donate money to.  Amy will call Bob Miller to find out if he sent money the previous year. We will get a charity list suggestions from club members and vote on it.

Liz Frisbee was voted in as a member.
Meeting ended at 8:02p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Amy Galperin, Secretary
