GENERAL REGISTRIES
The AKC website contains all sorts of information an exhibitor might need. If you click on EVENTS at the top of the home page, you will be taken to a page with Information on Events where you should click on Event and Awards Search. To check on upcoming AKC events (performance and conformation) anywhere in the country or find out what the results were on past events, click on the appropriate areas on the search page. The event information includes date, location, judges, entry fee and trial superintendent/secretary. Another section, called Weekly Wins, unfortunately only takes you to conformation results.
The very top menu of the AKC website includes 'Store.' The store is where you can not only purchase AKC merchandise but you can keep track of your dogs title progression. You must have a log-in name and password first. Once you have logged in, you have a number of choices. Clicking on "Points and Awards" (under AKC Reports) will take you to three choices. Insert the criteria for the dog(s) you wish to research and then click on "Points/Summary of the Title Progression." The screen that comes up will have your total legs, QQs in agility, OTCH points, etc. This report is free! If you want to purchase an itemized list of every event in which you have qualified, you can order an awards record for $8, lower down on the page.
Also available, for $4, are reports on the top dogs of any AKC venue in any breed you want to research. $4 to keep a close eye on your competition.
If you want to attend the National Agility Championship, you can order a report for $4 which shows whether you are eligible to enter.
The AKC website can occasionally be difficult to negotiate but does contain a wealth of information: judges directory, downloadable forms (of every variety), rules and regulations for each activity, list of all AKC clubs in the country and contact information, breed information, etc. And now you can enter some shows on line.
